FSSC 22000: 2011 is a food safety management system certification scheme for food processing enterprises, including ISO 2200: 2005, a technical specification depending on the scope of the enterprise (ISO / TS 22002-1, PAS 222, PAS 223) and additional FSSC requirements.

The FSSC 22000: 2011 certification scheme is recognized by the GFSI Global Food Safety Initiative along with the IFS, BRC standards.

Having a functioning and certified food safety management system that complies with FSSC 22000 requirements allows the company to be included in the list of enterprises considered as suppliers of such large retail chains and companies as Metrogroup, Wal-Mart, Carrefour, Cooop, Tesco, Migros, Ahold , Danone, Auchan, Food Lion, Hormel, ASDA and Delhaize.

All companies that have been certified for compliance with FSSC 22000 requirements, as well as confirmed the validity of certificates based on the results of subsequent audits, will be registered in a professional database on the Foundation for Food Safety Certification web portal. The FSSC 22000 certified business database is hosted on the ViaSyst platform, which allows anyone interested in company information, including the company itself, the certification body, and wholesalers and retailers, to receive company information.
